Quintijn Hoogenboom was teaching African Percussion at the Music School 't Venster in Renkum and Wageningen for 10 years. His teacher was Alpha Camara, from Guinee Conakry, who was teacher at 't Venster for more than 20 years.

Koningsdag/Kings day

For quite a few years a number of African percussionists and dancers play, dance and sing, at Kings Day in the city centre of Arnhem. Some white people may also join the group. See an impression April 27, 2015, the movie was made by Paul Janse.


Since 2011 Quintijn takes part a monthly workshop Ghana percussion of Hilde Gams.

On March 25, 2012 this group, from then on called Tokpe gave a fine concert in Elst, together with the project choir A325.
